About Me
My name is Michelle Rickardsson, also known by my stage name Madame Michelle, and I’m a pole and heels instructor and performer based in Stockholm.

I’ve competed nationally and internationally, becoming Swedish Champion in Artistic Pole and representing Sweden at the World Championships. Competitions give me drive and growth, but my absolute favorite place is on a beautiful stage at a show, no rules, just expression, lights, and artistic freedom.

In my classes, I focus on combining flow and power, creativity and technique, but also on creating a safe, encouraging space where every dancer can discover their own strength and style.
How i got into pole:
As a teenager, I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia and lived with debilitating pain throughout my entire body. I was forced to quit my elite-level pursuit in equestrian show jumping. At the time, I believed an active life was impossible. I mourned the loss of my sport and a future in movement altogether.

Eventually, I grew tired of just existing. I wanted something exciting to look forward to, and I found a pole studio just three minutes from my home.

Fast forward to today: with the correct diagnosis of hEDS, I’ve learned that instead of breaking me, movement held me together. Pole dance started as something fun to try once a week back in 2017, but I got hooked instantly. It has since grown into both a passion and a profession. In 2022, I began teaching and today I get to share that love with my students.
